MEETS THE EYE
Along the southwestern edge of Mallorca, the coastline is a theatre of perpetual motion.
Sun-glazed mornings where locals linger over ensaïmadas, long lunches drifting toward
late afternoons, the flash of yacht hulls cutting the turquoise in slender strokes. Between
Puerto Portals, with its glossy parade of restaurants, boutiques, and boats polished to
a sailor’s pride, and the quieter, almost aristocratic harbour of Calanova, the hours spill
outward like warm sand between open hands. Here, the landscape is the keeper of rhythm.
Pine forests bend toward the breeze, coves carve themselves into soft crescents, and
the Mallorcan light has a habit of lingering on stone as if reluctant to move on.
