Architecture imagined
in a home rooted in both
memory and modernity.
Architect Toni García-Ruiz traced a new beginning with Villa Morey, though to call
it new is to overlook the deep threads that brought it into being. His heritage is
woven into Mallorca’s history: father, grandfather, figures who shaped the island’s
architectural lexicon. Their understanding of shade, texture, proportion, and the
cultural patience of Mediterranean life forms the quiet foundation beneath every
line Toni draws. His work here is not a departure but a continuation
- a conversation between generations about how to dwell well in a landscape that
has always asked for respect.
Two modest houses once stood on the united plots, long settled into silence.
They were not erased but released, their stones folded back into memory. In their
place rises a home that feels less constructed than revealed - as if unearthed from
the meeting of coast and hillside, shaped by salt air and ancestral instinct.
