AMÌES
By Gabriele & Oscar Buratti
In Italy, life unfolds together. Around a table, beneath
open skies, through seasons that come and go. Amies
is born from that spirit: furniture created to welcome, to
accompany, and to remain a trusted part of everyday life
outdoors.
This project was born from the not-so-obvious goal of
creating products designed to remain outdoors - exposed
to sun and rain, heat and cold, even snow, without the need
to be brought inside or covered. Furniture meant to be used
in a garden, by a poolside, on a terrace or in an open patio,
in any season.
For some time, we had wanted to work with aluminium and
challenge ourselves by mastering the techniques typically
associated with this material: profile extrusion, machining
from solid blocks, and casting of potentially very complex
components. Gloster involved us in this challenge, providing
the advanced technology of its mechanical workshop, its
tools, and the great expertise of its engineers.
Available in Meteor, Bone, & Sage powdercoats
with Tecton, Dew & Tundra ceramic tops.
